Bangya Pandit Parishad, is an Institute of half a century old.The institute is registered under the West Bengal Act XXVI of ' 61, by the West Bengal Govt.

Institute is directed by the Pt.Shri.Hrishikesh Shastri (Receipient of the National Award).recognised and Sponsored by both the Govt of India and West Bengal.

Rules & Regulations concerning the Courses

1) The normal course duration is of  9 months ,however in some special cases the duration can be reduced to half of the normal course (ie., 4.5 Months). In such cases the course fees have to be doubled .

2) All the Courses can be done correspondence and regular basis also.

3) Students of this course are required to come to the institute once in a week specified a day previously decided. The students can choose the day according to His/Her conveniences. Students of the correspondence course require extra postage costs. However students who wish to avail the registry postal services are required to pay an extra amount of Rs.350/- For 9 months &  Rs. 700/- For 4.5 Months.

4) Titles are awarded on the completion of the course on the basis of the students performance in the examinations . The various Titles are:- "Jyotish Ratna", "Jyotish Arnab","Jyotirbid","Jyoti Bachashpati","Jyotish Bharati","Jyotish Saraswati","Jyotish Samrat","Jyotish Shiromani","Jyotish Martanda",”Jyotish Samraggi”, “Hastarekhavid” , “Vastuvid” etc. The examination fee isRs.500/-.

5) If the council finds it suitable, then in some special cases, the certificate can be awarded on the basis of merit.

6) A package programme  can be done by correspondence course also available.

7) All the courses can be done correspondence basis only.
